Lunch Creek is located at the north end of the Tongass Highway, 18 miles from downtown Ketchikan. The last three miles
of roughly surfaced road is impassable during parts of the winter. Those that make the journey can fork to the left near
the end of the road to Settler's Cove with small beaches, short hiking trails, coastal and waterfall walks. Stay on the highway
to the dead end, park, and discover a magical hike through America's last true rainforest. The first half mile of the trail
is graded; beyond that is natural grade through spongy moss, downed tree trunks providing benches for those who need a rest,
and scenery second to none.
